Project Architect Reviews

What is it like working as a Project Architect?

March 2015

Be patient. Always admit when you're wrong. Be diplomatic. Communication is key.

Immediately after Captain of the Ship.
Project Architect:
Pros: Holistic approach to a project except design.
Cons: Not much scope of designing, maybe I don't do it.
April 2014
I Am An In-House Architect For A Retail Company.
Project Architect:
Pros: I make 150% of the salary I did working in a traditional architecture office. I get to have a life outside of work, and I can actually support myself whilst paying off my student loans. I have a job title (project architect) that would have taken me several years to acquire.
Cons: It's difficult to feel appreciated by people who don't understand the work I do. Also, I feel like some of my more traditional architecture skills are atrophying.
January 2014
Pay Is Not Worthwhile For The Responsibility Required.
Project Architect:
Pros: Flexible boss for personal needs. Nice coworkers.
Cons: Stress, lowish pay, not much compensation, bored, not enough room for growth.
