Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization Reviews

What is it like working as a Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization?

June 2020
Fortunately not completely in Santa Ana.
Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Santa Ana:
Pros: I work in a business park with a great management company that always keeps it clean and enforces rules - I never feel unsafe taking a walk outside, and there’s a 24/7 number that can be called to request a security guard to walk you to your car if you feel uncomfortable doing so on a late night. I’m fortunate to be on the border of Santa Ana, Irvine, and Tustin, which means amazing food is never far away and there are a lot of options for post-work hangouts with coworkers. And lastly, it’s minimal, but there’s a 7-11 within walking distance to grab energy drinks and snacks.
Cons: Right outside of our business park, there are a handful of homeless people as there’s a government agency close by that offers financial support. Rarely, a particular homeless woman will make her way into the park who has taken a sweater from a coworker’s car when we left it open to load it up (he confronted her and got his sweater back) and who does slightly bizarre things in the rest of the park - but the park management always escorts her of the premises.

Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Randolph:
This company is not perfect, but they treat their employees and students we serve right. We can improve more in implementation, but overall I enjoy working here even during the Covid-19 crisis. The benefits are good, and there is an on site daycare for 1st shift workers (however it is VERY expensive which makes it only useful for the corporate workers instead of direct care). I do enjoy working here and will be for the foreseeable future.
April 2020
Fulfilling and great environment.
Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Los Angeles:
Pros: I get to make my own schedule, manage my own program and have plenty of face-time with the boss. We're each valued and appreciated, feedback is welcomed and taken into consideration, and my managers have all trusted me from the start.
Cons: The only thing I regret is not negotiating my salary when they offered me the job. With a masters and (about to get a certification) I think I could be earning more. The pay is slightly under what I wanted.
March 2020
Fairly challenging and pays well for a non profit job.
Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Washington:
Pros: Coworkers are supportive while maintaining a culture of excellence. Ample travel opportunities. Solid benefits. Reputable organization.
Cons: Job can be repetitive.
March 2020

Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Mumbai:

Cons: The infrastructure and its too crowded and noisy city.
March 2020
Macon is an interesting place to work.
Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Macon:
Pros: Lots of art and music in the area
Cons: Lots of poverty and pay disparity
February 2020
Challenging with lots of opportunities to grow.
Program Manager, Non-Profit Organization in Cape Town:
