Pros: There won't be any tress as long as you are organised, know the MRP and have a good planning.
Cons: Less challenging after a certain period of time.

Pros: Never a dull moment...always have to be on the top of your game. Work with alot of people and oversee the entire operation.
Cons: Can never leave the work at work. Always thinking about how to better things which can be stressful and tiring.

Stressful ,but rewarding experience. Do not assume you know everything... Technology evolves and so does the function of a production planner.
Get to know the products, processes and technologies you will be dealing with.

Production Planner, Manufacturing:
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and understand ERP planning. Use forecasting as opposed to statistical history data as it is a better way of preparing for company growth.
Think outside of the box and become good at reports run out of the database your company chooses to use.

Worthwhile, but stressful.

Pros: Pay is better, overtime is not required only encouraged, get to control your own day, run the shift how you feel is best within process, impact employees lives positively.
Cons: Huge amounts of responsibility, other leads can knit pick you to death, you are the face of your shift (it's all on you to make it happen)
