Pros: It provides me with an opportunity to make an immediate impact in the medical field. I appreciate the ability to communicate with various stakeholders in medical device development. No one is holding me back from learning more everything there is to know about my industry.
Cons: Pay is substandard compared with competitors. I don't know if the revenue generated from spine implant sales is commensurate with the value provided, from surgeons to device manufacturers. Patients' frequently don't get better after surgery, and I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my life working on unsolvable issues.
