What is it like working as a Process Technician?

Process Technician:
Pros: How close the company is to my home.
Cons: I make to little for the work I do.

Stator 3rd shift.
Process Technician:
Pros: Challenging and fast paced. Never a dull moment. The line is used from Japan. It was run by 12 Asociates in Japan and run by 5 here in Tn. Production numbers are 2563 a shift. We run 3k to 3600 on average 6 days a week.
Cons: Rotation of team members. 4 group leaders in less than 10 months. 12 temps in less then 6 months. Our line is very technical to train for. Turn over for employees makes it hard to want to train others.

Process Technician:
Ask questions, do not do anything you are not comfortable doing with out help from some one with experience.

Get a plastics degree. Process or Engineering.

Process Technician:
Pros: I like to process and troubleshoot problems.
Cons: I dont like all the responsibility I havefor the amount of money I make.

Process Technician:
Pros: There are many opportunities for advancement. Educational reimbursement provided.
Cons: Horrible management that is not qualified for the position they hold, just left over from a by out of Spectra Gas.
