Pros: Personal chefs typically serve households or individuals, planning and cooking meals based on established client preferences. Unlike restaurant-based chefs, personal chefs usually have more autonomy in their approach to work and work more specifically designated hours.
Cons: Stressful and physically demanding. Chefs' hours may extend late into the night following the dinner hour. They must be strong enough to handle the food prep equipment and large quantities of ingredients.

Private Chef:
The family you work for can suck you into there private lives blurring the lines of professionalism. It's easy to get consumed in the identity of your employer and forget your own. The job can be very demanding, with long periods of time with days off. It can be very stressful as demands are random. There are great perks. You become family.
