September 2016
Never the same and challenging.
Photojournalist:
Pros: It is never the same. I get to learn something new all the time, and to act like an expert on different subjects when transmitting the information. I get take wonderful photos, too. I get to work from home and make my schedule. I get to choose what I want to cover. I work for the only English paper in the city and the oldest one in North America. Since I am everywhere, many people in the English-speaking community are starting to know me pretty well.
Cons: The salary is not that great. I couldn't live on my own because I would not be able to pay rent. It is a lot of work for the salary, despite my passion for it. I am not paid for the commute.
