Pharmacy Assistant in Turramurra:
Pros: My co-workers are lovely to work with and there is a shared sense of respect between everyone. I appreciate the autonomy granted to myself when managing staff jobs for the day and in how I visually merchandise my area.
Cons: There is little transparency regarding the pay scheme. It is difficult to have any meaningful dialogue between employees and store owners. The physical labor of loading sometimes 600+ tins of baby formula into someone's van is taxing, unethical and unnecessary. The time wasted due to processing 600+ tins of baby formula 3/4 tins at a time is absurd - especially when the transactions are all done with cash. The pressure put on staff members is intense, with employees only granted 1 x 30 min break, even when working 12 hours straight.

Pharmacy Assistant in Turramurra:
Pros: I appreciate the company's various opportunities to extend product knowledge. I also appreciate the company's easily understood merchandising instructions.
Cons: You are paid bare minimum wage, you are hardly shown any appreciation by owners or managers, organization of stock and employes is abysmal. Most importantly, is the disrespect from store owners towards their own staff members when seeking to move elsewhere. Employers are not willing to give out appropriate references and insist on making the while provess difficult.
