Performance Tester Reviews
What is it like working as a Performance Tester?
January 2014
Less Stress!
Performance Tester:
Pros: Being a tester gives the advantage of having less work-stress especially when it is a services oriented company. But being a performance tester needs a little more than what is usually needed for a tester. A deep knowledge on the technologies being worked is essential to excel in the field.
Cons: Pretty difficult in mastering the technologies given the fact that one doesn't actually work with technologies (Java, DotNet, SAP etc.,) but work around it to identify performance bottlenecks. Sometimes less stress work can be very stressful if the client doesn't understand what performance testing is about and expect us to work like other testers.
