Payroll Supervisor.
Payroll Supervisor:
Pros: I like being able to work in a office that has a good atmosphere, and I like doing what I do honestly. Being able to help make sure people are getting paid what they should and checks are being sent out on time.
Cons: The fact that I feel like I don't get paid what I should, and I feel my manager takes me less serious because I am young, but I take pride in what I do and how I do it.

Payroll Supervisor:
Pros: I want the fact that we communicate with our employees directly and we are able to know what are the things we can do to improve. I also love how important it is for an organization to have a Payroll Department to handle the salaries of their employee with confidence and knowledge.
Cons: Payroll disputes and explanation because of other department's fault.

On Your Own.
Payroll Supervisor:
When you report directly to the Director of Finance, there is no middle manager to advocate for you -- you're on your own, financially or otherwise. You have the benefit of seeing everything that goes through the payroll but there is nothing you can do about it, even if you object or disagree with the process or transaction.
