Payroll Clerk Reviews

What is it like working as a Payroll Clerk?

August 2016
Pay increases.
Payroll Clerk:
I wish I knew that the pay increases we're not based on ability but only on a percentage each year.
March 2016
I hate it.
Payroll Clerk:
Pros: Benefits.
Cons: People I work with.
January 2016
Work Flexibility.

Cons: Stressful deadlines.
September 2015
Focused.
Payroll Clerk:
Pros: Keeps my concentration level high.
Cons: Correcting other people's mistakes.
September 2015
Great job.
Payroll Clerk:
Pros: Meeting new employees, actively involved, accurate payroll.
Cons: I did not get to use any of my accrued vacation time due to not having a backup person trained for payroll. The company has a use it or lose it policy, and I lost it, along with paid sick time, before July 2015. Alongside this issue, poor organization featuring in a toxic atmosphere/stress conditions were negative factors.
July 2015
Good people to work with and we all are very busy.
Payroll Clerk:
Pros: Learning new skills. Staying on task.
Cons: Returning time sheets back to the men in the field to collect signatures. Sometimes we must wait three days or more to have the time sheet returned and entered into the P/R files.
June 2015
Stress levels, responsibilities, valuable skills.
Payroll Clerk:
Not to discuss employees salaries to no one, practise discreet as mush as possible. Keep all employees information confidential.
