It’s great. Assist patients in daily activities, draw blood, take vitals, transport patients, provide physical and emotional support.

Cons: The communication. We have requested a staff room numerous amount of times and have had to sit on the floor some days for lunch.

I really enjoy how busy it is and the pay plus benefits are worth the busy days and nights. The RNs do help when they can. As a pca you do have lots to do for the patients but that is what you sign up for.

No two days are the same. Patient care changes daily & not everyone is informed correctly of the changes. There’s not enough staff.
