Cons: The feeling that many customers have of "entitlement" really drives you crazy. It's very difficult to please many people at a time and still stay sane.

Advice for the Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator.
Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator:
Learn dental and orthodontic terminology. Learn names and name spelling of referring/area dentists. Network with other dental professionals, both clinical and non clinical. Learn your boss's preferences and idiosyncrasies. WRITE THINGS DOWN no matter how unimportant they seem. Remember the little things about your patients, get to know them, and be nice. Educate yourself on risk management, patient management, treatment coordinating, scheduling, written and verbal communication, and everything else your boss suggests. Make deadlines and stick to them. Follow up with people. Don't let things slip through the cracks. And make sure to smile!
