What is it like working as an Office Clerk, General?

Office Clerk, General:
Pros: Flex schedule.
Cons: Being forced to work in other departments to pick up everyone else's slack. I work way too hard for my pay. Performing many tasks outside of job description and training, and told that is what is expected.

Not bad.

Pros: It is a decent working environment, there is not much trouble one obtains from colleagues.
Cons: Having to attend to multiple tings, of which some are personal things.

Work Routine.
Office Clerk, General:
Pros: What I like about the job is that it is fairly simple to do and not much experience is needed to do it. If you can operate a computer then you can do the job after being guided a little.
Cons: What I like least is that it is a routine job without much variety in it. All you have to do is observe videos and file tickets. It gets repetitive after awhile but it is something that you just have to accept. In the end you are getting paid for something relatively easy to do.

I do believe that you can not judge a person's job quality or qualifications could be determined within two weeks. All companies have their own process on how to do their projects. Give everyone a fair chance within reason.

Quality Service - Excellent Organization.
Office Clerk, General:
Have excellent customer service skills. The public, the student body, faculty and staff are all your customers. Second most important function is the use of Microsoft Office Professional. Know Word, Excel and PowerPoint thoroughly. You must be organized; especially on the computer directory.

The Bottom of the Food Chain

Pros: I like being able to put my skills of organization and efficiency to good use.
Cons: A lot of the time the work I do is under-appreciated or not even acknowledged. It makes it really hard to want to do the job itself.
