What is it like working as a Nuclear Engineer?

The stress outweighs the pay.
Nuclear Engineer in Newport News:
Pros: It is a field that can challenge the mind and make one grow mentally.
Cons: Working 80 hour weeks with no overtime or consideration for my mental health

March 2017
Fresh Out of College as a Nuclear Engineer.
Nuclear Engineer in Portsmouth:
Pros: Decent Pay, Good benefits, Supervisor is flexible, Paid vacation. Really slow start. Worked on two projects for 7 months. Then they slammed me with 5 projects.
Cons: Was lied to throughout my hiring process. HR provided documentation stating specific numbers and percentages. However, being here for almost a year now I can see that those numbers were false, and have never been as high as they were. In speaking with HR you get the basic answers of 'policies have changed.' They overload everyone with work. They expect you to complete all work in extremely small time spans. Their goal is to squeeze as much work out of you as they can for as little cost to them as possible. There is no type of friendly atmosphere throughout the entire corporation. Only a facade until they realize how to manipulate you into doing more than what you signed up for, tons of overtime for free, and all the while they're trying to say it is for your benefit...
July 2014
Challenging And Fair.
Nuclear Engineer:
Pros: First of a kind, one of a kind engineering projects.
Cons: Trying to hard to cut costs at expense of worker compensation.
