Mental Health Therapist Reviews

What is it like working as a Mental Health Therapist?

October 2020
I enjoy being available to listen to the offenders on their concerns and problems.
Mental Health Therapist in Richmond:
Pros: I like the time I arrive to work is a lot shorter than my previous job.
Cons: The leadership and communication is horrible.
September 2020
Rewarding.
Mental Health Therapist in Tampa:
Pros: I have the freedom to use whatever therapy approaches I feel are a good fit. I’m not forced to follow some textbook method of therapy that feels forced. Being a Reach therapist will turn a new therapist into a skilled and confident therapist. This is an incredible way of perfecting your skills. The culture of the company aligns with my personal values as well.
Cons: The Reach program often feels like an after thought. Some of the policies sent down from HQ don’t seem to have considered the differences in the Reach program from the Day program. Because we are non-profit and rely on donors, the politics of it all can be disheartening.
July 2020
Mental Health Therapist in Pittsburgh:
Great co-workers, however it is a high stress job with a difficult schedule. Benefits are average compared to other health care providers. Unfair salary practices and lots of pay disparity. Lots of middle management with poor response to employee concerns and requests.
July 2020
Housing cost is high, but Therapists are under paid.
Mental Health Therapist in Santa Fe:
Pros: Don’t have to dress up. Very casual town.
Cons: Wages/Salaries are low for mental health therapists and social workers. We are under valued.
May 2020
Great place to work, mission driven.
Mental Health Therapist in Baltimore:
Pros: The Agency is responsive to employees and committed to serving the undeserved
Cons: Turnover of employees who are not committed to the population
December 2019

October 2019
