Mental Health Counselor:
Be sure to explore opportunities for growth. Bachelor's level won't get anyone very far these days, so if it's all you have, make sure you ask about additional responsibilities that would also involve a raise. Also, does the employer pay for additional schooling or training.

Pros: Helping people.
Cons: Long hours, stress, poverty wage.

Mental Health Counselor:
Pros: I enjoy the other mental health professionals I work with. I like feeling like I help people every once in awhile.
Cons: Working with dhs and Medicaid. Hearing horrific stories that children tell about their lives. Secondary trauma is a real thing and it sucks.

Make sure you get the agreement for supervision in writing.
