Massage Therapist Reviews
What is it like working as a Massage Therapist?
June 2016
Massage Therapist:
Pros: I like my job because my main focus is relaxation and that's what I love to do. For you to relax into your body and feel good about yourself and make your pains melt away.
Cons: With 5min massages and being a semi-small business, it gets crowded where the massage seating is held and people dont like to wait for their massage when there's a line already to us therapists.

Massage Therapist:
What you learned in school is your basic block...You will develope your own style gradually in the field that adapts more to you...Each therapist is different from the next, your style, concept, each person is individual...Always go slow, never fast & over-rushed, it is more comfortable & beneficial...
January 2016
Difficult both physically & mentally.
Massage Therapist:
Pros: I love to meet different people & hear their stories & it is very rewarding to see clients on a regular basis to see how I have helped them to feel better. I also work with a fantastic organic product that I am very happy to recommend to people to use.
Cons: The hours of business are a little late, 11am till 8pm Monday to Sunday so I can only work part time. It is also 80% massage so I don't think the pay rate is high enough for such heavy work. It is also extremely difficult to get time off during school holidays as these are our busiest times.
November 2015
Good environment but poor pay and benefits.
Massage Therapist:
Pros: The clients.
Cons: Pay, benefits and turnover rate.

How to really use massage on my friends to be a better thera.
Massage Therapist:
In order to have your own business you need to know everything about the business and be very well prepared.
January 2015
It's a good job if you're single, Not if you have a family.
Massage Therapist:
Take care of your body and take advantage of any type of free treatment available to you.
July 2014
Good Place To Start.
Massage Therapist:
Pros: It got me out of poverty, provided enough to buy my first house, taught me about self healing and self care.
Cons: Physically demanding, pay was not what I expected/was taught in school, 500 hr training program not really adequate and severely over priced ($6000 for 6 months of school), CE classes and insurance are expensive, risk of self injury, clients are demanding and difficult, spa associates and management frequently do not understand or agree with contraindications, stressful, only recommend if you're going to create your own business.
