Maintenance technician at Kennywood Park.
Maintenance Technician in North Versailles:
Pros: I love taking the rides apart for winter work and putting them back together before opening day. During the season we climb and inspect the rides to ensure the ride(s) are operating safely for our guests. This is my favorite part of the summer season. I am a climber and to be able to climb all the rides definitely makes me forget about how much the summer can be a drag.
Cons: Although. I make more now than I have at any other job I definitely will have to say the pay is way below the industry standard for starting pay. I've applied to numerous other amusement parks and each park starts their new hires at mid to high twenties per hour.

To grind or not to grind?
Maintenance Technician in Maple Shade:
Pros: Great medical benifits, most of the employees are happy on a day to day basis. All in all a nice environment to work in.
Cons: Recently we have had tablets implemented into our efforts to be paperless and hours have gone down in result of them. My imput as a 15 year technician does not have much influence on our day to day as most of the office personnel or supervisors do not have any field experience.

Nice change of pace.
Maintenance Technician in Biloxi:
Pros: Decisions about my job are mostly made by me, left alone to do my work at my pace
Cons: Pay needs to more accurately match the depth of work and amount of skills needed for the job.

Maintenance Technician in Raleigh:
Upper management is unaware of what needs to happen in a day to day setting. No clear or concise direction. Benefits are good, and compensation is tolerable. The morale among the employee base has suffered since Charter has taken over and the customer satisfaction seems to have changed as well.

Best Company I have ever worked for!
Maintenance Technician in Columbus:
Pros: The freedom to complete my work assignments and mostly stay involved with all aspects of maintenance at assigned building.
Cons: Some times communications are slow but over all not a big issue.
