Don't Overheat, Prioritize.
Litigation Paralegal:
Time management and the ability to prioritize are essential. Attention to detail is to being a paralegal as cleanliness is to godliness. You'll learn more in a small firm but feel unappreciated. Whereas in a big firm you'll feel unimportant. The working relationship you develop with your supervising attorney will ultimately define who you are at the firm. Know your lawyer.

Litigation Paralegal:
Don't choose a position because it's convenient. Ensure the work you'll perform is meaningful, substantive, and something you'll enjoy for a long time, and ensure you'll get along with and enjoy the people you'll work with.

Don't Stop Learning.
Litigation Paralegal:
When in doubt, ask; never assume you know how to handle a particular situation as this can change from case to case - confirm with your attorney; always look to improve/update your skill set.
