Fun Job If You Like Solving Problems.
Linux Systems Administrator:
Pros: I really love having a new problem to solve every day. That, along with the fact that I get to learn something new almost every time I touch a server makes going to work a fun experience.
Cons: Constantly putting out the same fires over and over again can get a bit repetitive. The company where I work solves problems on a ticket basis, so it can get to be a bit of a grind after a while unless you focus on the problem you are solving. Also, the clientele at a budget web host can be somewhat demanding and difficult to deal with unless you have some good "soft" skills like previous customer service experience.
