To become the best legal assistant by staying motivated with a can do attitude. Also, don't be intimidated by attorneys and look for answers yourself by researching the internet and court websites for state and federal rules.

Legal Assistant:
Pros: Review claims from the clients and determine what is missing. Assign a value amount on the claim and negotate dollar amount with insurance companies.enter details in computer systems. Resolve issues between client and insurance. Arrive at agreement and close the case.
Love coworkers, challenges, learning new information daily. Enjoy perks.
Cons: Angry and belligerent clients. Clients not being truthful. Too long hours. Can work 48 to 50 hours. Clients feeling entitled. Can be stressful.

Learn "Outside the Box"
Legal Assistant:
Take the "outside the box" approach to your career. Just because something is not "part of your job description" does not mean that you should not learn it. You never know when that bit of information will be useful and employees notice.
