Investment Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as an Investment Analyst?

October 2016
Learning, Corporate Culture, Office conditions, Dynamic.
Investment Analyst:
Pros: I like everything, I enjoy calculating, using Bloomberg, doing different tasks and learning new things.
Cons: Probably pay. Getting just £16,000 feels like I am being underpaid given that I have finished Masters Degree.
June 2016
Investment Analyst:
Get your head down and work hard, be honest and decent.
March 2016
Benefits, not sure on nominal pay.
Investment Analyst:
Pros: Telecommuting is an option, commuting time is reasonable.
Cons: Flexible hours can lead to less overlapping work time with manager.
November 2015
Big impact role.
Investment Analyst:
Pros: The role strongly impacts the growth of the business and there is opportunity to develop important financial skills with one's own initiative.
Cons: Vanguard's low cost culture means pay and investment in technology is a little less than competitors. I also get the sense that many jobs have been simplified so much that anyone can step into the role without a lot of past experience.
March 2015
Working hard.
Investment Analyst:
Pros: I like working solo and producing excellent output.
Cons: I do not like the last minute, unscheduled tasks that interrupt my day.
