Intelligence Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as an Intelligence Analyst?

January 2023
Research 24/7.
Intelligence Analyst in Chicago:
Pros: The insights and knowledge I gain into the marketing industry
Cons: Lack of transparency into colleagues work streams, where my work is going and who is benefiting from it
November 2022
It is not needed.
Intelligence Analyst in Port of Spain:
Pros: Close to after work events and access to other service headquarters.
Cons: There is no need to be going into Port Of Spain for work when it takes on average 2 hours of commute, twice a day. The morning and afternoon traffic amounts to two days work of work in driving or commuting via bus.
September 2022
Vacation location.
Intelligence Analyst in Navarre:
Pros: People are happy to be here! It's a vacation location and has a strong military presence.
Cons: The traffic can get pretty bad.
June 2022
Impactful, operational and actionable intelligence.
Intelligence Analyst in Salt Lake City:
Pros: The people in the organization and other agency cooperation
Cons: Politics and red tape
June 2022
Intelligence Analyst at JBER, Alaska.
Intelligence Analyst in Anchorage:
Pros: I enjoy analyzing and disseminating information within my team to the command teams to actively provide key leaders with the knowledge needed to win the battles on the front lines.
Cons: The only thing I like least about Anchorage is that the winters are so brutal and cold. Other than that, I enjoy the summers.
February 2022
Great People, Mediocre Pay.
Intelligence Analyst in Washington:
Pros: Interpersonal interaction and career development opportunities
Cons: Compensation and communication about compensation, contract security, and project impact are remarkably opaque
December 2021
Good company, might not pay people’s worth.
Intelligence Analyst in Washington:
Pros: I like that it fits my interest set and skill set, and I like that it positively contributes to society
Cons: I don’t feel like I’m being paid well enough, progressing fast enough, or being given enough responsibility despite having demonstrated a capacity to do so
