It feels like a roller coaster and I'm the tightrope walker!
Human Resources (HR) Manager in Dubai:
Pros: Creating policies and procedures, employee engagement activities, on boarding & off boarding process, enhancing company culture (surveys, activities, games, gatherings) etc..
Cons: I feel that I'm stuck in a place where I'm not learning anything; I don't have a chance. I'm holding a senior position without the empowerment of it, I just get things done as requested without having my say. These things have changed since late 2019 and I feel like I'm wasting my time for my career learning curve and growth. Also, there's 0 work-life balance. I work 14-16 hours a day and it's never enough. The environment is very toxic because of the management. Although I have tried SO much to change the culture and make it a great place to work at and I succeeded for a year, but then everything went down the hill afterwards because of management decisions and changes.

Human Resources (HR) Manager in Portland:
211info is a Humane, mission-driven community benefit organization that is adaptable, fun, and progressive. I appreciate a relaxed work environment and coworkers who respect and like each other. We work hard to be equitable and accountable to our diversity and inclusion plans. We’ve transitioned to a mostly remote work environment, and we’re creating a new workplace culture as a result.
