Hospice is Rewarding.
Hospice Registered Nurse (RN):
Pros: Being able to help patients and families through one of the most difficult situations in their lives. I am an on call nurse and see patients through crisis situations. It can be very stressful at times but is worth it when I am able to help a patient.
Cons: I feel that I am under appreciated for what I do. I work at night when management isn't around to help problem solve or trouble shoot. I think the night shift is overlooked by management.
