What is it like working as a Home Inspector?

More and more has been taken away from employees. With no incentives.

Pros: The hours and the people.
Cons: Unfair salaries. Most of our employees are below the poverty level.

Take pictures of everything. Develop an inspection pattern and system. Be polite and punctual.

Pros: The people are nice and it is not to far from home.
Cons: I like all of it nothing to bad except when it snows slot the roads aren't to good.

Overworked - Underpaid.
Home Inspector in Las Vegas:
Pros: Building trust and a relationship with the customer. Helping the customer keep there home and family safe.
Cons: Paid for 8hr day, usually working 9-11hrs/ 6days a week. Constant problems with management. Not getting the material/ equipment/ time required to complete a job. Constant policy changes effecting work ethic/ production. MANY complaints from former employees/ customers about the company. Working outside job description to perform tasks need by management. (Sales, collection, scheduling)

My Job.
Home Inspector:
Pros: I get to work with a great, family based company. I receive paid vacation with holidays and weekends off. I get to work the hours of a full time job and generally am not home any later than 5:00 pm.
Cons: I dislike that what I do it something that makes people angry, and very little socialization with others. I spend a lot of time alone during the day and sometimes my days can become never ending. No overtime but a full schedule that has to get crammed together. I don't feel as if I make what I am worth and can hardly get assistance when needed.
