Health Unit Coordinator Reviews
What is it like working as a Health Unit Coordinator?
September 2022
Leaves A lot to be desired.
Health Unit Coordinator in Katonah:
Pros: I love the ability to make a difference for patients and offer them the care the need in an acute treatment facility. I also like the ability to work a bit outside the parameters of my job description to work more hands on with patients when I am able.
Cons: The administration is very cliquey and often plays favorites. The administrators in the nursing department has been referred to as “the club” by many employees and it is well known that if you’re “in the club” you can get away with not following protocol. Those not in the club are often subject to ridicule if they make mistakes, while those in the club have been given promotions after being disrespectful to their superiors and belittling their peers.

Health Unit Coordinator in Waconia:
Pros: I love the job I do and have done it for 18 years because I love what I do

There is no one to talk to unless you want to get fired so you feel stuck on a daily basis with no protection. They harass daily and this person allows her favorites to also harass
