Behind the times.

Pros: Working with nursing and having contact with patients

Not allowing credentialed staff to take over and do what they are trained for. Poor recognition structure and pay agmentations of Non Nursing staff.

Can't do your job without education.
Health Information Management (HIM) Director:
Keep your school books and use them for references. They have helped me out of a lot of what do I do now kind of questions. Make sure you get along with all departments because if you want to have a great department, we all have to work well together and as a team. Don't ever stop learning and go to as many seminars, webinars, conferences , and even boot-camps. Knowledge truly is power.
