HVAC Technician Reviews

What is it like working as an HVAC Technician?

February 2015
Working as a sheet metal/ hvac technician.
HVAC Technician:
Pros: I like to install furnaces and AC units, and split AC systems and cased rooftop units, and hot water tanks and tankless heaters, as well as gas source heaters of all types. I also enjoy being in charge of commercial sheet metal jobs and being able to train less experienced men in the trade. I like working with my hands.
Cons: The thing I dislike the most about my job would be that I am being paid unfairly for my responsibilities and my duties in training new people when im unqualified to be running such jobs in the first place. The main reason for this is that I dislike being told my schooling will "have to wait" and as thus I havent learned some things fully and am still expected to do them as good as a journeyman.
December 2014
That they paid time and a half for overtime not straight tim.
HVAC Technician:
Check with everthing you're employer provides before starting work.

Just want to be paid fair to my perfomance.

Go to school and get good training and then use that to your advantage to build upon after getting employment. Also know that it is an ever learning process with plenty of tech support in the field.
