What is it like working as a Gravedigger?
October 2019
Ok I guess.
Gravedigger in Hixson:
Pros: Helping family's
Cons: Boss
August 2016
Grave digging.
Gravedigger:
Pros: I often work alone in scenic settings, I am able to provide some amount of closer to the grieving process of people that have lost loved ones, it's is extremely physical work but the down time between those periods leaves me with the freedom to do basically whatever I want as long as I stay in the cemetery. I also get to travel all over my area and see places I wouldn't otherwise see. Plus I work for a small family run business so while there is no room for growth, I am able to get any and every problem I face directly and promptly dealt with.
Cons: The weather can be terrible. Pelting Rain. Snow. Blazing sun. Doesn't matter, dead people need to be buried. Also the down side to a family run business is I will never go beyond the position I'm in now.
