What is it like working as a Graphic Designer, Web?
April 2023
Working in Johannesburg.
Graphic Designer, Web in Johannesburg:
Pros: I enjoy the city life and commute to work. The weather is good and there are opportunities for growth.
Cons: There is no ocean
November 2021
People don't respect your work and you get little to no money.
Graphic Designer, Web in Karachi:
Pros: It's my hometown
Cons: People have no value about Digital Marketing and the potential it has in increasing their business. They have worked 20+ years in their respective fields without online presence and feel that they don't need to adapt to the changing landscape, and consider all this a temporary fad. Even when they do decide to take this leap, they expect all your services, months of work time for literally no pay (a couple of dollars)
December 2019
Too Many Meetings Not Enough Time to Do the Work.
Graphic Designer, Web in Fort Washington:
Pros: Working on fun design projects with talented and smart coworkers.
Cons: There are way too many meetings to attend and the Agile process with 2-week sprints along with goal squad meetings is exhausting. Communication and output suffer because the Project Managers don't have the time to spend making sure the pieces are in the correct order and all details are there. In the end, this creates too much backlash and drama due to poor project management and everyone spreading themselves too thin. It's wearing people down and taking a toll on the department.
October 2019
Underpaid but flexible schedule.
Graphic Designer, Web in Allentown:
Pros: I like the passion that the people have about their work. The flexibility is nice to have, especially with family.
Cons: Lower than average pay for doing a large amount of work and having many skill sets to bring to the table. Paid according to salary.com and titles don’t match our work and skill set. Promotions are slow and working harder does not equal recognition unless you are Super Cool or Mr. Bossy Pants.
July 2019
Its been a learning journey for me.
Graphic Designer, Web in Kuala Lumpur:
Pros: Back then in Gapture Malaysia, it was a fun culture firm. There's alot of colleague that willing to help each other if you are facing some work related problem!
Cons: The current situation of the company - no direction
June 2019
It's just okay but not challenging.
Graphic Designer, Web in Bloemfontein:
Pros: Its my home town and I love being around my family and friends
Cons: Everything is in centered
May 2019
I like to work here but the salary managment is not good. In low salary, less employees they give so much work.
Graphic Designer, Web in Chandigarh:
Pros: Learning new something
Cons: Salary and projects managing
