Freelance Writer in Toronto:
It is so true that you really need to write every day in order to be the best writer that you can be. Plus, you need to be constantly looking for legitimate, legal, and safe opportunities to make money writing. This could include applying for government grants, working as a consultant writing for the government, working as a freelance writer for corporations and small businesses, as well as entering the advertising and entertainment industries, even pharmaceuticals, to engineering to architecture in order to make money writing. No one says you just need to focus on one industry. The more you know, the more money you can make and you will learn a lot!

Freelance Writer:
I wish I had known that my direct supervisor, the Executive Director, really didn't trust anyone in the organization, no matter how qualified, to do their job so she felt the need to micromanage all aspects of everyone's job. This led to burnout and frustration. Two years after I joined the organization, a nonprofit, not one single person was left there, except the Executive Director, who had been there when I first came.
