Fun.

Low wages, contractors cheating the tax system.
Finish Carpenter in Fairland:
Cons: All the general contractors I know of and have talked with do not legally hire employees here in Oklahoma, they hire subcontractors which they treat exactly like employees, working 60 plus hours a week with no other job, hourly, no 'contract' to speak of, all to avoid paying L&I, state, and federal taxes.

I work south of denver in the tri lakes area.
Finish Carpenter in Denver:

Cons: The constant commuter traffic.
April 2017

Finish Carpenter:
The work is not worth the pay. You will do everything including buying tools picking up guys who don't work as hard as you or show up on time and miss days frequently. You will earn 3% of what your boss is making and he will never be seen . This is only a good job if it is you getting the jobs and paying employees. The rich get richer and pass along no appreciation to the hard working employees. You will struggle to make ends meet and be physically and emotionally destroyed. It is only a temporary solution to having no income and holds no rewards benefits overtime payed vacation or anything someone who wants to build a successful career wants. Unless your dad owns the company you will never make more than 14-16 and hour and that's non taxed money you will incure thousands of dollars of debt each tax season you will owe in. I didn't even list the health issues you will encounter from the material dust you breath physical strain, unmaintained tools and falls from hights if you live.
