What is it like working as a Facilities Supervisor?
October 2014
Every Changing And Very Interesting.
Facilities Supervisor:
Facilities Management is a great career, if you like know about the various trades and invest you time in training. This field is every changing. When I started we were called Maintenance now we are facilities management and people expect us to develop, understand and manage the Emergency Response Plans, Space Management, Ergonomics, New Trends with Workspace Conditions, Contract Management and more.
For me, I enjoy every aspect of what I do.

January 2014
Rewarding.
Facilities Supervisor:
Pros: Early off from work, most weekends off.
Cons: Very stressful job. Responsibility of all departments, staffing, training, cooking, administration, resident relations. Have not seen owner in 5 months, only his emails. Feel that there is little or no appreciation of employees. Coaching limited, I only see the manager 3 hours per week.
