Event Manager Reviews
What is it like working as an Event Manager?
March 2023
Great team environment.
Event Manager in New York:
Pros: I started about 7 months ago and so far it’s been great. I came in at a very busy time and was thrown right into the job. It was challenging at first but now I’m feeling a lot more settled and am really enjoying the job. We have a fantastic team of event specialists who are always willing and able to help, guide and share best practices. This is the best events team I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with.
Cons: I took a salary lower than I was making in the past but the opportunity to join a great team of events managers and concerns about the recession helped make my decision. I’m very glad I did however the job posting gave a range and I was disappointed that the salary I was offered was in the middle whereas with my years of experience and being based in NYC I expected the salary to be on the higher end of the range.
August 2022
Overworked and underpaid.

Event Manager in London:
Pros: Diverse daily activities, quick role progression. Good for personal development.
Cons: Pay stagnant and essentially different ways of offering minimum wage for the energy expected.
October 2021
You’re not going to be top of mind unless you make yourself be top of mind.
Event Manager in Penang:
Pros: own Events Manager, is well-suited in my self & client-facing, fast-paced, multi-skilled role.
Cons: With unique experience with turf resort, Penang & accommodations villa. I have a lot of control in what happens at the events. It’s great having an idea and being able to make it come to life, with full support from your team
