What is it like working as an Engineering Supervisor?

Engineering Supervisor:
Alliance pays pretty well and profit sharing does payout. The people are good, although not positioned to be collaborative or creative. The company is disorganized and undisciplined with little understanding of how process helps and organization. Designs/ Mechanical Engineering is poor and creates allot of waste on the shop floor. Berry Wehmiller purchased the company but left its original people. The culture is slow and unchanging in a corporate relationship that needs more agility.

Pros: Smaller community with great atmosphere close to the outdoors. Great working culture, very few slackers.
Cons: Lower pay than surrounding communities with less opportunities.

Working harder will be notice and if not make sure it is. Communicate with your supervisor regularly and realize that harder workers will be promoted quickly.
