October 2020
Engagement Manager in Pittsburgh:
Very few growth opportunities for sales career track. Pay is significantly lower than competition. I was surprised when I got my promotion offer and the compensation was literally $30K *less* than what was discussed for months with my leadership and HR. I was blindsided by a supposed "policy" that doesn't allow base compensation to go up more than a certain percentage if you're getting promoted. It was discouraging to know that there were people (mostly male) in the same role as me (Associate Engagement Manager) that were making $40K more than I was for the exact same job - all because they were hired into Infosys at that role. Not much of a morale booster, and confirms that the gender pay gap is REAL in tech. Especially for a company that claims to value a diverse and inclusive workforce and make it an equitable place for women - unfortunately it's all talk and no real action. When they announced they were taking away vacation accrual for all US employees through the end of the year, I started looking outside of the company. Landed a great job with a new firm, and making more money than I would have if Infosys had just paid me what they said they were going to pay. Even in one of my exit interviews, the HR person conducting my interview said, "Don't get stuck here."
