Employer Relations Manager Reviews
What is it like working as an Employer Relations Manager?
May 2016
Best Job I've Ever Had.
Employer Relations Manager:
Pros: I get to apply my knowledge of the local job market and current hiring practices to benefit an entire population of students. My role involves developing and maintaining relationships with employers who want to recruit students at my campus. There's an aspect of sales to the role, but I'm not commission based and there's no money exchanged. My "sales" calls are completely about win-win solutions, and the result is extremely rewarding.
Cons: The university environment creates a lot of hierarchy that can be burdensome to planning and decision-making, and their isn't always institutional support behind career activities. Plus there's the lack of funding.
