Emergency Room (ER) Technician Reviews
What is it like working as an Emergency Room (ER) Technician?
December 2022
People in suits not scrubs decision makers,
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in Westminster:
Pros: I like my coworkers.
Cons: They got rid of our lab techs with very little notice, no pay reconciliation for more work load, the building itself is unsafe, cameras don't work, no extra help.
July 2021
It is terrible. Management is horrible, and there is not enough staff let alone our own private workers there currently to know procedures or where things are in a fast manner.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in Hutchinson:
Pros: I like my consistent hours and days I work. I love some of the people I work with. And mostly I enjoy seeing all of the patients I take care of, when I am able to make one persons day it makes me feel extremely good.
Cons: The least I like about my job at the hospital would have to be management right now. No one seems to care or be concerned with how thin we are being spread.
March 2021
Everyone works like a team, it’s fast pace.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in Warren:
Pros: I love working 3 12 hour shifts, I like that there’s multiple areas to be rotated around, I like my hours.
Cons: Being exposed to covid
September 2020
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in New Bedford:
Pros: I like caring for people, most of my co workers are amazing people.
Cons: The company, the management, under appreciated, underpaid. Incompetence of some direct supervisors
April 2020
I love working here because its about helping our patients feel and get better.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in New York:
Pros: my coworkers they are awesome
Cons: my management they dont listen to their staff to make things better
December 2019
Presbyterian ED/UC Growing Pains.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in Santa Fe:
Pros: I enjoy learning more about the field in an environment that's not as hectic as most EDs. I gained a lot of experience at a pace that one could easily keep up with, and it prepared me more for other potential jobs.
Cons: The pay is garbage. I live in Santa Fe and I cannot afford to live here without my parent's help. For the hazards we put ourselves in every day it's a pathetic wage. Aside from pay I'd say staffing is very short, which is why many nurses have turned over (their licenses are in jeopardy when they can't keep up with patient volume, not to mention patient outcomes).
October 2019
Somewhat stressful at times but overall manageable.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician in Chicago:
Pros: My team we work well together
Cons: Nothing
