Work independently, use community block grant funding to allow frail non-Medicaid seniors in your community age in place at home for as long as possible by providing them with personal care services they could not otherwise afford. Finally, an answer for that large group of low income non Medicaid eligible seniors. Use you medical and nursing knowledge to set up a person-centered plan that fits their unmet needs that might otherwise place them in a nursing home. Think out of the box and see if the State will develop a Consumer Directed Plan for the seniors allowing them to employ their own caregiver.
