Pros: The students and coworkers are great people to work with. I feel as though my job has a meaningful purpose. Great medical benefits.
Cons: Pay is very low. Paraprofessionals can be treated as "inferior" in comparison to other teachers. No paid sick days and holiday breaks are unpaid (Christmas break, thanksgiving, spring break). No opportunities for bonuses.
