Dock Worker Reviews
What is it like working as a Dock Worker?
February 2019
Could be better when it comes to people.
Dock Worker in Chicago Heights:
Pros: You create a brotherhood with some employees over the years.
Cons: It’s been more of a race war with most recently employed that are felons and not keeping a consistent amount of employees. The pay is not enough for the environment one goes through daily, from dealing with unknown and sometimes spilled toxins to extremely cold weather during the winter.
June 2016
Not everyone does the right thing.
Dock Worker:
Always do the best job you can do, do unto others as you'd have done to you. Don't be afraid to question authority because they don't always know the situation as well as you do.
January 2016
Dock Worker:
Be prepaired for long hours, keep moving.
October 2015
Very weather based. Physical and demanding but enjoyable.
Dock Worker:
Pros: The work is simple. Its physical and fast paced. If the weather is nice I like being outside.
Cons: Terrible pay. Bad management. No communication.
