Director of Dining Services Reviews

What is it like working as a Director of Dining Services?

July 2021
Not Happy.
Director of Dining Services in Rochester:
Pros: I love my coworkers.
Cons: The upper management does not communicate and keep operations management in the loop. They become distant after a disagreement to where it sabotages the work space. The culture could use more diversity and train upper management ethics.
August 2019
Good.
Director of Dining Services in Rio Rancho:
Pros: Good community
Cons: nothing
May 2019
Director of Dining Services in West Lafayette:
This position has changed into a working manager and is also a salaried position so needless to say your work week is certainly more than 40 hours a week . Very small staff. All other managers work a 40 hour week typically so some resentment grows. If you are staffed well you do get weekends off except for manager on duty weekend days. Eclipse is growing so fast they aren’t doing a lot of things well. Most procedures have major glitches.
March 2019
Quiet and satisfying.
Director of Dining Services in Greenville:
Pros: Close to home
Cons: Not much to do
March 2018
Compass.
Director of Dining Services in Evans City:
Pros: Close to home. Friendly people. Good Hours.
Cons: Lack of growth opportunities locally.
July 2016
The residents.
Director of Dining Services:
Pros: The residents, they make my days much better. I love to make their days, even if it's just a smile. I have a great staff, they work very hard.
Cons: Changes being made without everyone having input. People getting treated unfair by management.
May 2016
Team Building.
Director of Dining Services:
Pros: It is an exciting and dynamic work environment. Staff have a lot of potential to grow, improve and advance.
Cons: The current regulatory environment is difficult and unpredictable. There is a disconnect between government oversight and common sense practical application. Standards are unclear and arbitrary.
