Director of Activities, Assisted Living Reviews

What is it like working as a Director of Activities, Assisted Living?

July 2021
Extremely stressful.
Director of Activities, Assisted Living in Rochester:
Pros: My staff
Cons: Attitude of nurses and cna’s. So many residents have extreme behavioral problems. Feels like it’s just heads in beds. It’s run by a corporation and all they do is push paper work and homework in you.
January 2016
Rewarding for residents and myself.
Director of Activities, Assisted Living:
Pros: The residents and their families & the activities we do together. I like the flexibility.
Cons: I really like my job. The work and the people are great.
May 2015
That I would be so under paid after 7 years of committed ser.
Director of Activities, Assisted Living:
Make sure you don't sell yourself short by accepting a low ball salary just for the experience.
