Director, Underwriting Reviews
What is it like working as a Director, Underwriting?
October 2014
Pros And Cons Of Being An Underwriting Director.
Director, Underwriting:
Pros: I enjoy the diversification of my work day. I enjoy when I can put out a fire and satisfy our client either financially or with a customer service option. I enjoy being the go to person when my team has exhausted all their options.
Cons: Having to clean up the salesmen mess as their only concern is a sale. They know the information and is required and it falls on my lap to get information obtained and corrected. My direct manager is hardly ever in the office so any executive decision I have to make needs to be run by him which will require me to contact him. When he is in the never communicates with me and when I have to be the one to communicate with him to bring him up to date.
