Good location.

I Love My Job But Not My Management.
Cytotechnologist in St. Louis:
Pros: I enjoy getting to work with patients and clinicians in this hospital setting. I see a lot of interesting and unique cases that I wouldn't in another facility. I work with a great group of people and feel that we make a big difference in the hospital and I enjoy the pathologists I work with.
Cons: The management is pretty horrendous. I feel that they don't have any idea what we as Cytotechnologists do on a day to day basis and how important we are. They expect us to work long hours running around while short staffed for years in a dangerous neighborhood and yet don't think we should get a bit more compensation. They give us salary reviews yet can't even get our years of experience correct in order to properly evaluate that salary. There's already been studies out that have shown we're underpaid but every time it's brought up we're given weak answers to get up to be quiet.
April 2015
Enriching, work flexibility, enjoy being part of the team.
Cytotechnologist:
Pros: Enjoy doing microscopic work and paying attention to detail.
Cons: Nothing at the present time.
