I joined THE UPS store right when it was being swapped over thru 2 owners. It was a bit hectic for the first few months because each owner had a different way of teaching. But..once I learned the job it got easier. Forwarning though..you need to have experience with Photoshop..Word and Abode programs..there was at my store no training and I had to ask alot of questions that my co workers didnt evening know how to do. Still to this day we all haven't been fully trained on these programs and I think is a downside to this job and this lack of teaching doesnt help us stand out with other printing business. You need to be extremely patient and great at customer service because this job is all about that. My Boss is the best boss an employee could of asked for. Downside..my coworkers are a lot younger than me and there integrity isnt on the same level as me and I find myself not only doing my job..but theirs as well to not only better our store..but to better the company in the eyes of the customers. Have to take the good with the bad. Our raises at this store is based on our profits..if we do well for the company we get bonus and raises..if we dont strive to get more customers thru the do raising our profits..we dont get the well earned bonus and raises. I hope this helps.
