Cost Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as a Cost Analyst?

August 2021
Okay.
Cost Analyst in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Pension plan, remote work, not micromanaged (at least, in my particular role/department).
Cons: Company culture, unwillingness to help from other coworkers, lack of accountability amongst peers.
August 2021
Good gig.
Cost Analyst in Minneapolis:
Pros: Flexibility to work wherever and however you please, with your own autonomy.
Cons: Not rewarding or fulfilling work.
August 2020
Diversity and Inclusion.
Cost Analyst in Atlanta:
Pros: Best thing about working in Atlanta is the diversity. It’s great to walk into a office and see Directors and Vice Presidents that look like me. It’s extra motivation to know that I can continue to move up and achieve greatness.
Cons: Traffic and the commute. Takes me 45mins to go 10 miles.
February 2020
Management has lots of problems.
Cost Analyst in Redlands:
Pros: Stability, training & outside resources are great.
Cons: There are lots of problems within upper management and huge favoritism amongst men in my team. There is a lot of victim-blaming and unfairness. If you are unlucky you are sure to get yourself in a mess of trouble.
June 2019
Cost analyst is a great entry level job to be in for 2-3 years.
Cost Analyst in Grand Rapids:

Cons: Workplace politics.
June 2019
Working for family is never easy, but to feel validated is something that’s necessary.
Cost Analyst in Amarillo:
Pros: I love having the extra level of gratification when you are a success for your family.
Cons: I am undervalued and treated differently than other employees
March 2019
The good, The bad and The ugly.
Cost Analyst in Albuquerque:
Pros: The GM is very open to comments, concerns and feedback. The challenge of sifting through 20 years of costing guidance neglect is one puzzle I love working through and present new ideas and process that are generally nothing the company has seen and embraces.
Cons: The materials manager is a verbally abusive bully. I have no idea how he has been able to continue for 20+ years in his position or with the company. His knowlege of my position is nonexhistent. He cannot coach or manage my position, so I manage it with my extensive experience and knowledge. Which is not recognized by him. The GM is my main influence with respect of staying on and helping the company grow.
