Pros: Every day is a puzzle, and you have direct access to experts for help
Cons: It's pretty lonely out there. not a lot of interaction with peers, because everyone is remote on different sites.

It depends on who your AE and AAE are on how pleasant the work environment will be. I received one raise in 2 yrs there. You will have to move around if you want to advance in a timely manner. A lot of people will stay 35-40 years at TXDOT. It’s not a hard place to work at. Take all training you can and get certified in as much as you can. You will not get rich at TXDOT.

Work is available however in my situation I deal with a task, so when the money runs out of the pot I have to look for another task so it happens a lot that I have to change firms in order to keep working.
